Zenless Zone Zero is a brand new action game. The earth large pocket dimensions known as Hollows, which devour the soil and give rise to dangerous creatures known as Ethereals. The Ethereals have destroyed most of humanity after wreaking havoc on most of them. But a small band of survivors, known as New Eridu, managed to repel the approaching invasion by removing a material known as ether from the Hollows and using it as a powerful energy source.

The game features many factions, including the Proxy siblings’ Random Play, the construction-focused Belobog Heavy Industries, the housekeeping agency Victoria Housekeeping, the front-line Hollow Special Operations unit Section 6 of Hollow Special Operations, the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team, a division of New Eridu Public Security, and the biker gang Sons of Calydon.
Phaethon siblings
The narrative mostly centers on the Phaethon siblings, who reside on Sixth Street in New Eridu and are employed as Proxies. Therefore They can remotely monitor and navigate Agents inside Hollows without physically entering there thanks to a unique technology they have access to called the Hollow Deep Dive System.
